How I got started…
I first started out as that neighborhood kid who was called upon when anything that you plug-in wasn’t working correctly. In college, as I worked toward a design degree, I stayed busy doing IT work for my university faculty and staff while also picking up freelance web design and development work. After college I co-founded a successful startup marketing agency named PageLadder, which I operated for 3 years before selling to my business partner to pursue a better personal work/life balance, while continuing work with them as a contractor.
In the summer of 2015, I was hand-selected as one of the expert WordPress developers for Codeable which is the only WordPress exclusive marketplace for hiring pre-vetted WordPress developers. This opportunity was a game-changer for me and completely rejuvenated my opportunities as a WordPress expert. Below is a 25-minute interview where you can learn more about me and Codeable.
I worked as a freelance developer on Codeable for a little over a year and completed over 100 projects with perfect 5-star ratings before getting hired in-house at Codeable.
Where I am at now…
While working in-house for Codeable I paused taking on freelance work personally.
I confidently recommended anyone looking to work with me, to instead go to Codeable to find a reliable freelance WordPress expert.
My in-house roles at Codeable started in Customer Support which I worked for a year before switching to marketing shortly before starting working partnerships. After almost 6 years making a big positive impact at Codeable, I decided it was time for a change in February 2021 and resigned from my position there. I’m currently working 4 days a week as a Bike Patroller (think ski patrol only for a mountain bike park) at Whitefish Mountain Resort.
WPauditor is where I put all my experience and expertise into a scaleable package I can offer WordPress website owners and operators to help them grow.
